Students for a Sustainable Stanford (SSS)

Strive for sustainable practices through discussion, engagement, and direct action

SSS cover

Students for a Sustainable Stanford is an inclusive and intersectional community that strives for long-lasting sustainable practices on and off the Stanford campus through discussion, engagement, and direct action.

Since its founding in 2000, SSS has grown and evolved into one of the most prominent environmentally-focused student groups on campus. We work on diverse issues such as climate policy,  environmental justice, transportation, water, waste, and more, and pursue initiatives and outreach efforts to build a more just and sustainable world. In 2010, we became an official student-led program at the Haas Center for Public Service.
