Stanford Nurse Alumnae Fellowships
The Stanford Nurse Alumnae Fellowship, a Cardinal Quarter opportunity, supports an undergraduate student who is interested in exploring nursing as a career. The Fellowship is a summer internship in a healthcare organization or setting that best fits the student's interests and goals. The organization may be a hospital, a community-based clinic, or other public health setting. The internship should provide direct exposure to nursing and interactions with patients/clients and/or families, in addition to a variety of healthcare professional roles. Successful candidates should articulate why nursing is a preferred career option. Stanford Nurse Alumnae Fellows spend the summer working full-time for nine weeks with a supervisor/mentor in a domestic U.S. community organization of their choice.
Each Stanford Nurse Alumnae Fellow receives a base stipend of $7000 to support travel and living expenses during the fellowship. Financial aid and supplemental funding are available to students who qualify.
