Currently enrolled freshmen, sophomores, juniors, seniors, and coterms at Stanford in ALL majors are eligible to apply, including undeclared students. Some positions are open to master's students in East Asian Studies.
The overall stipend base is $6,000 per student provided by the host organization, the program, or both.
Stanford students have participated in the program in Australia, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, China, Estonia, Ethiopia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Kenya, Latvia, Rwanda, South Korea, Singapore, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Taiwan, and the United Kingdom.
