Stanford Food Recovery
Our mission is to reduce food waste on Stanford’s campus and help alleviate hunger, homelessness, and food insecurity in Bay Area communities.
With over 2,000,000 meals served a year, Stanford R&DE is the single largest center of food consumption in the Bay Area. Much of that food is left to waste, while simultaneously there are many hungry and food insecure communities across the Bay.
Our goal is to bridge that gap between Stanford's uneaten food and the Bay Area's communities so that we can both reduce food waste and serve the needs of the hungry, homeless, and food insecure populations in the Bay Area.
