Stanford American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU)
Fight for and raise awareness of civil liberties at Stanford and beyond
Founded in 2020, the Stanford chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) is dedicated to fighting for and raising awareness of civil liberties at Stanford and beyond. Our mission is to inspire Stanford’s student body to preserve and protect constitutional rights for all Americans, regardless of identity or background. We work on a wide array of issues, including immigration, LBTQ+ rights, free speech, reproductive rights, criminal justice, security and privacy, voting rights, capital punishment, and disability rights. We lead activist movements, coordinate educational experiences, and produce content to inform and empower the Stanford community. Through our affiliation with the ACLU of Northern California, we focus on campus, Bay Area, and national issues.
If you are passionate about civil liberties, join us in our fight!
We have meetings once a week at the Haas Center. Contact us via Instagram to get involved!
