Society of Women Engineers (SWE)

SWE engages in public services through our Outreach branch, whose mission is to promote interest in STEM among local young women outside the immediate Stanford community, many of whom come from other marginalized backgrounds and often do not have the encouragement, support or resources to pursue their interests. 

Service required by group to fulfill a Cardinal Commitment: Make a sustained commitment over the three quarters of the school year and spend at least 100 hours volunteering with our Outreach, Internal and/or External branches through service at events, joining a community-specific commitee, etc.
