Society for International Affairs at Stanford (SIAS)
SIAS organizes speakers series, discussion events, conferences and other spaces of community engagement that center international affairs, increasing the understanding of important global phenomena in campus community. Our leadership and members are committed to providing opportunities for Stanford students to be involved in global affairs from a perspective that amplifies the experiences and issues of different peoples while promoting a spirit and practice of global citizenship. Through our programming, virtual resources, newsletter, and meetings, we connect our members with resources inside and outside Stanford in order for them to be able to craft academic and professional goals in international affairs that prioritizes commitment to public good, no matter the nationality of the public. We empower our members to pursue careers that serve the global public interest and increase cooperation among different countries. We also host an annual Model UN conference for high-school students and various multicultural events to serve these goals and build our community.
