Society for International Affairs at Stanford (SIAS)
Engage Stanford students to practice responsible global citizenship and promote cooperation beyond borders
The Society for International Affairs at Stanford, SIAS, is Stanford’s premier student-run organization for students interested in questions of international relations and global citizenship.
We house the Stanford Model United Nations travel team, which competes internationally, the Stanford Model United Nations Conference and Stanford University Model United Nations Conference, our conferences for high school and collegiate competitors, respectively, and organize weekly academic programming events, such as professor panels, career mentorship, and student discussions, and community events, such as trivia nights, beach days, and Geoguessr tournaments.
We welcome students from all disciplines and years – the central point and power of SIAS comes from the passion of its members. Students can get involved by attending our events, staffing our conferences, or applying to our fellowship program, in December, or Board, in May, to get involved with leadership.
