Music Enriching the Lives of Developing Youth (MELODY)
Music Enriching the Lives of Developing Youth is a service organization that strives to bring the world of music to underprivileged elementary school students in the local community. On Saturday mornings, we give volunteer private piano lessons on the Stanford campus for one hour. The individual instruction we provide would otherwise be unavailable to these students.
Service required by a group to fulfill a Cardinal Commitment: Students will have the opportunity to teach volunteer piano lessons on Saturday mornings for one hour to underprivileged elementary school children. Resources (lesson books, syllabi, electronic keyboard) will be provided to give students the freedom to design and lead their own lessons.
