Immigration Institute of the Bay Area (IIBA)
The Immigration Institute of the Bay Area (IIBA) provides immigration legal services, education, and civic engagement opportunities to immigrants, refugees, and their families. With its eight offices throughout the Bay Area, as well as through its collaborative efforts with local and regional service providers, IIBA provides crucial assistance for immigrants facing formidable obstacles to achieving stable immigration status. Potential Volunteer Needs: We strive to provide student interns with a fulfilling experience that optimizes IIBA's ability to effectively serve our clients. Volunteers will work virtually out of our Redwood City office. Tasks will range from interviewing clients and writing corresponding declarations, updating resources, preparing written translations and providing simultaneous interpretation for attorney volunteers. Spanish fluency is required.
We accept volunteers on a rolling basis.
