
Graduate Student Fellowships on Global Development
The Stanford King Center on Global Development offers graduate student fellowships for the 2021-2022 academic year that provide up to three quarters of fellowship support in the form of tuition and a graduate student stipend to qualified Stanford student applicants (PhD students with TGR status) pursuing dissertation research on topics related to global poverty and development.
Most funding is reserved for Stanford graduate students in their final year who are completing their dissertations.
Research focused on China is eligible for funding support by the King Center's China Program.
Eligibility
For qualified Stanford student applicants (PhD students with TGR status) pursuing dissertation research on topics related to global poverty and development.
Preference is given to students in their final year who are completing their dissertations. Awardees must submit a 100-word abstract of the dissertation research, a short bio and photograph of the recipient to be used on the center website and to inform donors.
Within one year of the award, submission of a brief, final research report, as well as future academic plans, which may be shared with donors.
