Challah for Hunger
Challah for Hunger holds weekly events, at which members of the Stanford community bake challah bread together. The loaves are then sold to the Stanford community and the proceeds from these sales go to both local and international humanitarian aid-based charities. In addition to weekly bakes, Challah for Hunger holds regular advocacy events such as hosting educational speakers, holding community discussion forums, and participating in local hunger and educational outreach.
Service required by group to fulfill a Cardinal Commitment: We require student participants to volunteer at at least one of our ~1.5 hr shifts each week, where they contribute to the production of the challah.
