Cardinal Quarter
Choose from 500+ full-time summer or quarter-long public service job opportunities. Cardinal Quarter programs are offered by nearly 30 campus partners and span fields from the arts to technology, philanthropy to international service. Fellowship stipends are provided to cover living and transportation expenses to ensure access for all undergraduates.
Opportunities may be prearranged (placements offered by Stanford partners) or self-designed (unpaid public service internships identified by the applicant). See our Finding a Community Partner tip sheet if you want to design your own experience. You can learn about additional resources and program requirements for the Haas Center for Public Service sponsored fellowships on their website.
Most summer program applications are due in February.
Drop-in Advising: Visit our Cardinal Quarter Peer Advisors during their office hours, or with Haas program staff on Mondays between 2-4pm via Zoom or Thursdays between 1-3pm in person at the Haas Center (Room 210). Feel free to email cardinalquarter@stanford.edu with questions or to schedule an advising appointment with program staff.
Students who complete a Cardinal Quarter fellowship can apply to have it reflected on their academic transcript with the Cardinal Service Notation.
