What moment or experience sparked your interest in public service?
I had the privilege of experiencing a Cardinal Quarter the summer after my freshman year. To be able to work so closely for an entire summer with mentors who were successful public service professionals gave me inspiration and motivation to pursue a career in the public sector. I have been involved with the Haas Center ever since my first Cardinal Quarter, where I found continuous support throughout the rest of my undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate careers.
What was your first job out of Stanford?
I am currently a Community Impact Fellow at Ikaso Consulting.
What do you do now?
I currently work as an associate at Ikaso Consulting where I provide strategic planning, research, and data analytic support to state government agencies working in early childhood education and child welfare.
What is your biggest professional win?
In my first year of working at Ikaso Consulting, I was able to support a pilot program designed to support a population of children who have historically been overlooked by current education and child welfare systems. To see the pilot evolve from an idea to a fully functioning program that serves children every day has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my career so far.
What advice do you have for Stanford students who hope to explore public service professionally?
Lean on classmates and friends who are also looking to explore professions in public service. The Haas Center is a great place to meet them!
